Bill Beattie
Executive Chairman
|
|
Bill Beattie is founder and chairman of Jericho Partnership. Born in North Philadelphia and raised by his mother, he was an “at-risk” city kid who was mentored by his youth pastor and his high school chemistry teacher. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord at the age of sixteen. Bill majored in metallurgical engineering at Lehigh University, and earned an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh. He worked for Union Carbide Corp. in various marketing and management positions until 1986, when he formed and became Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Minerals Corp., a privately-owned mining and metals company headquartered in Danbury, Connecticut. Following a profound personal experience in 1996, Bill sensed a calling to serve God among the “at-risk” youth of his community. He founded Pathways Danbury, which enlists men from several metro Danbury urban and suburban churches to mentor “at-risk” boys. Currently, over 40 boys are enrolled in the program. Since the founding of Pathways Danbury, over 80 percent of the boys have graduated from high school, and nearly 70 percent of those have gone on to college. In 2005, Bill felt called to assist other Christian agencies serving the Danbury community, and founded Jericho Partnership. |

Mark Lounsbury
Ministry Director |
From a very early age, Mark was taught to love the Lord and His people by his father and mother; Dr. Thomas H. and Rev. Kathleen E. Lounsbury. However, it was not until January 31st, 1995, that Mark was instantly and radically saved, while in college. He immediately became involved with The Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, an ecumenical group on his college campus, which he later presided over as Vice-President. Mark was officially ordained and licensed on July 27th, 2003 through Lighthouse Ministries, Intl. He served as the Youth Pastor at Lighthouse Ministries for nearly a decade before returning to school to earn his Master of Divinity degree. In 1998, Mark married his high school sweetheart Sandra, who has been a true gift from God in his life. Their union has produced four beautiful children; Siobhan Moran, Sydney Faith, Shaylah Marie and Elisha Paul. Mark views being a husband and father as a sacred call and is immensely grateful to the Lord for this privilege. Also in 1998, Mark graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western Connecticut State University with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology & Sociology. He went on to enroll at The King’s University in Los Angeles, California. In June of 2010, Mark earned a Masters of Divinity Degree, graduating with honors. In August of 2010, Mark joined the Pathways Danbury team as the Ministry Director. His past experience with youth ministry and his formal training, make him well suited for the responsibility of leading Pathways into a “bright and positive future.” Mark has ministered overseas in Africa and India, and been involved in a church building project in Mexico. |
