The Cherry Street Association will organize and provide life skills training on a monthly basis for the mentee group at the New Hope Baptist Church. The training will focus on those skills required in school, social relationships, and in the workplace to be effective and responsible members of society. Students will learn skills such as effective communication, conflict resolution, decision making and goal setting and gain exposure to careers and cultural offerings. Christian moral and ethical values will be woven into the programs.

Summer camp opportunities will be provided each youth as an important learning experience each year. The camp will provide Christian fellowship opportunities and sports training.
